I prefer to put myself in 3 different categories, Editor, Sound Designer, and Visual FX or Graphic Artist. I have loved post production since the day I learned Premiere Pro. I received my BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where I focused primarily on Editing and Sound Design. Attending UNCSA gave me the opportunity to work with many talented filmmakers who helped hone my skills and expand my knowledge of filmmaking.

I have been working professionally since my second year of school for two local production companies, Process Pictures LLC and Silent R. Privately I have worked on numerous freelance and client-specific projects over the last 3 years. I have also worked on various feature and short films outside of school. In my experience as a professional Editor I have focused on both the television and web versions of a popular military show Tac-TV and Vickers Tactical. In addition to the tight turnaround television brought, I also have worked on many Wake Forest promotional pieces as well as recruitment videos for their various sports programs.

While my love for film currently knows no bounds, I wasn't always a filmmaker. For 15 years of my life, I was a dancer. (Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip-Hop, Swing, Salsa, etc.) During my Senior year of high school a group of students started a news program, and I decided I wanted to be a part of it. Since the class did not fit in my schedule the teacher suggested I learn Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I was eager to be involved, ran through some tutorials, read a few articles, and played around a bunch. Within 2 weeks I was assembling my first show, and 2 weeks after that I was named Senior Line Editor for the news program. I built countless graphics, and even edited a few stories of my own. I have desired to work in Post Production ever since.

My friend knew a professional Editor who once said that, "editing is the dance of film. It's the rhythm, the cadence, and the flow all mixed into one." I feel my craft embodies this philosophy and my knowledge of rhythm and cadence has strengthened the quality of my work. I'd like the opportunity to collaborate with clients, using these skills, to create exciting new content.
